Hold ups, Hangi and Parade 60 years ago, on the 3rd July 1954 Electricity came to Onetangi, Waiheke Island Onetangi Residents Association share their photos and history notes.   1953 BCE (Before Coming Electric)   Kero was the word before electricity  arrived on Waiheke  Island.  That  was the  power  driving the  enjoyment of  the  Islanders.
